Can anyone explain to me the road to being a pharmacist? I am a senior in high School. I plan on going to a CSU, most likely Sacramento State University. I wanted to know what classes should i sign up for and what degree should i pursue at Sacramento State. How many years would i have to study at Sacramento State? After that would I have to attend another school? How many years would I be attneding the other school. Any Information is appreciated especially if you are already pharmacist.

Pharmacy is a 6 year program, 2-4 years of prePharm and 4 years of pharmacy school. The prereqs vary by school. Since you are in California, you'll need a bachelors to be competitive. You'll have to take the PCAT.
Freshman year, fall semester, I would recommend courses like general biology, general chemistry, calculus 1, freshman composition.

Pharm tech is a good part time job. You won't get paid much, but that is besides the point. The average pharm tech in the U.S. with experience gets paid between $12 and $13 per hour.

I'm in the same position; I'm a senior in high school but already planning to be a pharmacist. From what i learned, you should go to Sacramento State for four years and get your BS. Also, take all the pre-req courses for the pharmacy schools you want to attend [a lot of sciences and math classes]. Study and work hard. Have a GPA above 3.4 and take the PCAT. Hopefully they will accept you. After, it will be about three-four years more of college when you get your Pharm.D. Then get a license to work in California.

Pharmacy is usually a 5 year course, and if you enter the program, you will be advised on exactly what to take. I don't see a program like that at Sacramento.

I'm not a pharmacist.

I'm pretty sure you "just" go get a BS in Chem, Bio, or Biochem, then like 2 years of Pharmacy School

If you can do it the money is GREAT , like 100K a year I think
for counting pills mostly it seems to me

If you fail, be a pharmacy assistant, still like 40K a year probably, also for counting pills I think

Talk to your adviser and if you don't have one contact student services. You will take general education courses freshman year but you need to look into which science courses and if there a different sequences to follow and all colleges have different requirements as well as from state to state regulations.
