I've heard you have to be very specific when asking questions about discounts, etc. I'm also confused - I have a discount code for a MYW pass & dining, and also a room only discount code. I thought to get a MYW pass & dining you had to book a package...so why would there be a disc. code for just a pass and dining?
What is the best way to ask about discounts for the following:
7 night stay at All Star Music with a quiet, king size, non smoking room, with a Magic Your Way 7 day pass including Park Hopper and dining option

There are currently no discounts that include a discount on the tickets and dining, so I'm assuming Disney sent you a pin code. In order to get dining and tickets discount, you would need to buy a package. You can buy the tickets seperately, but you cannot book the dining unless you do a package, it is a special offer for staying onsite.

Be very careful when working with Disney, they can make a lot of mistakes, and if you aren't used to working with Disney, you may overlook them by accident. Since you can still get your pin code with an agent and they work with Disney every day, know what to look for and may even be able to get you a better discount, I would consider using a travel agent that specializes in Disney. You won't spend any more, but they can take care of everything so you don't have to worry about it.

Now, when you call, just tell them what you are looking for. They will need your dates, and also that you are looking into booking the All Star Music resort, as well as your party size and also that you want the 7 day park hopper and dining. Be sure to let them know you have a pin code and they will ask for that code as well, prior to giving you the quote. The value resorts don't offer a king bed option, it is a non-guarenteed request, if you go to a moderate you can pay a little more and get a king bed room. Also, at the value resorts, the king beds are also the handicap rooms, so it can be a little more difficult to get them. Also, getting a quite room and also a non-smoking room is a non-guarenteed request. The value resorts can be a little on the noisy side, depending on when you go and also where you room is located. You can look into this a little more and then give Disney the section of the resort you would like, you are more likely to get it this way than with just a quiet location request. With non-smoking, the only way they will guarentee this request is if it is do to medical reasons.

Hope this helps!

The way you ask here. Call the girl and tell her what you want.
You should consider the season also. We just had the Spring Break and we are getting into the Summer. The kids will be out of the school and the prices will go up. To save some money travel low season.

Actually it sounds as if you already know how to handle yourself on the telephone.
One of the best ways to get the maximum discounts available to you is to contact a travel agent. Just let the agent know what details you require such as your accommodations and other details. The travel agent works on your behalf and will find the best deal for you. There is no additional charge to hire a travel agent since they are paid from the commission on what they book.
Hope this helps.

The times I've received a pin code from Disney I let them know that first thing. They'll ask you for the code and you let them know exactly what it is you need. Have a great time!
