They are NOT onions. They are nut grass. Go to a garden center and ask. DO NOT PULL THEM UP. Each piece you leave will grow into a new one.

until eventually you pull them out by utilising the roots, you will in no way do away with them. enable them to strengthen up sufficient to understand the place they're and use a small hand shovel to dig them out. wreck the sod far off from the onion bulb. discard the bulb and replace the sod. The backyard will look slightly pocky in the previous each and every thing besides the shown fact that it is going to heal straight away. sturdy success :-)

The only true way to get rid of them is to dig up all of the tubors (onions) that you know of and keep digging them up as they sprout. I had to do the same think with daffodils and tulips, they're all over my yard still.

This may sound funny, but I have cilantro growing all over my grass. It smells wonderful ummmmmmmm when it is mowed.
You could add some cilantro and mow your salad. ha!
Actually, the onions will add compost to your yard, enjoy them.
G'day.

eat them...if that doesn't work....plant some domesticated onions near them and hopefully their good habits will rub off on the so call "wild" onions...good luck with that.

the one thing I invested in is a lawn service- like Scotts or Greenskeepers. Its not that expensive. They will come spray your yard for all types of weeds, they will fertilize it in the summer etc. When you factor in the cost of buying your own chemicals etc. It pays for itself.

There's no cure besides pulling. I just mow right over them because I like the smell.

You have probably tried this, but the only thing I know is the 'weed-and-feed' products. There are several brands to choose from. Good luck
