I think in a since marriage is like a "retirement" in the way that you retire your dating habits and now learn to commit to just one person. I feel that if i ever do get married i would definately be giving up a great life being single in order to devote myself to one person, but i feel in the long run the "retirement" is so worth it.

um i am a woman and i view marriage as a new job! i highly highly doubt "women" view it as retirement.

ok maybe if we are 20 and we're marrying someone who is 40... ... ...then it is retirement. but that is not always the case gentlemen!

These are the women who have no notion of financial independence. They think they can get their husbands to take care of everything. They'll get theirs when (and there's a 50% chance of this happening) the marriage ends.

I don't marriage is like a job, as a matter of fact a promotion. it means you have to work even harder to keep your man and keep yourself up. not to mention the home, kids even and whatever else needs to be done. all this while still remaining sexy ...a serious promotion.
