Hey everyone!

I've lived in sunny Birmingham for 4 years as a student! I'm just curious whether there's many people on here who have visited Birmingham or live here and what they like to do here :-) I'm fed up of all my friends who come from various parts of the country (particularly my London friend, lol!) saying that B'ham is cr@p! If it's that bad my dears, why did you move here? ;-) Defend the city, tell me what you love about it!

My favourite nighlife in Birmingham includes:
>DV8 club
>Oceana.... just about!
>Risa
>The Living Room
>Thai Edge
>Walkabout... the best pub!!
>Snobs... from what I can remember! V.V. drunk...
>Gosta (for anyone on here that goes to Aston Uni!)
>Old Orleans... give me those cocktails!
>The Mailbox.... if only I could afford it more than 3 times a year!

xx Emmie

Hi,

Love Birmingham been here for years, used to hit Broad Street every weekend, but not so keen now too many drunks and loudmouths, Sutton is better and safer and has some bril bars, try The Litten Tree thats always good, and Star City aint bad either good mix of bars and clubs and not so expensive or difficult to get home from. Do love Gas Street and Brindley Place in the summer tho...

Snobs is fab for the indie/rock music and chilled crowd. If you're ever in town late and want a relaxed bar that's open til 2pm, try the Green Room in China Town. It does jugs of Staropramen (strong czech lager) very cheaply and you can usually get a table.

If you like Balti, then it has to be Ladypool Road for Indian buffet, if its chinese then its the Arcadia centre or near by. I like Michelles restaurant in Corporation St or Spices at 5 ways for the good atmosphere.
