do you think nba teams or even college teams todoay
are looking for athletic players/small forwards/guards around like 6'8'', than post players, big man, centers, power fowards?

I think NBA teams want Big men, they just arent many great ones around. Teams know that a great big man are more important to wins and losses than an athletic wing or guard.If a team can find a Tim duncan, shaq or yao ming type player they'll take them over a kobe or wade everytime, because like you see this year a wing player cant win by themselves look at how the heat were playing without shaq and the lakers are a .500 team. A guy like TIm duncan would be able to lead practically any team in the league to 50 games. The reason is that because big men protect the paint on the defensive side of the court and on the offensive side they have to be double which makes the other players better.

most big men are not athletic. but if there is a 7 footer standin in the post against 6'8 or shorter more athletic players the 7 fotter would be in heaven. Good teams need a mix of players so they can compeate against anyone

the reason why it seems like that is because everyone is trying to handle the ball on the perimeter these days. there isn't as many just low post players. thats why Greg oden is so wanted by teams a down low threat. college teams try to look for what they need. the nba also does but looks for what can happen down the road in the draft than right now.

Well it depends on the team. Each team thinks differently from one another. Some teams like to play small ball and have athletic and quick guys. Some teams like to play a more physical style game and like having the big men who can bang their bodies against other guys and grab the rebounds and whatnot.

i think that they look for the more athletic players than tall ones but if you get an athletic tall person then that is who they pick!
