I am 31 and I used the NuvaRing for 2 years. I never had any problems with it and contrary to what that girl above says, my husband never felt it NOT EVEN ONCE. (and no he is not small; he is above average) I loved the ring. I didn't have to think about it every day and it comes with a little alarm (ask Dr. about it) that goes off when it's time to take in/out. I have my tubes tied now but if they weren't, I would still be on the ring.

I am nearly 30 and monogamous.
I use a mirena iud and it's brilliant. It is long term (up to 5 years), has no side effects and also stops periods after a while, but they return instantly you have it removed, should you want to have any more children. It is also 99% effective.
I am on my 3rd one now (first was removed to have another child, second stayed in for 4 years and was changed to a new one a year ago) and would not use anything else. The hormone dosage is also very low, as I used to suffer from morning sickness on the pill, even the mini-pill and have no problems with the mirena.

I'm 34 and on the pill. Previously though, I was on the NUVA ring which I had used for years but if I forgot to take it out during sex, it was like playing ring toss w/my lover's penis.

IUD until I had my tubes tied. I loved the IUD for it's convenience, safety, and I didn't have to worry about forgetting it.
