Like the peter pan peanut butter, the spinach and other veggies, the dog and cat food etc. Food lately hasn't been safe to eat. I want to know if you think it's a coincidence or is something going on?

Our soil is being abused. Here in Ca. we had floods, the poop from the dairy farms was washed into the fields that grow spinach and so on. Mass production of all foods, people and animal, is big business and somewhere corners are cut for profit, not really thinking much of the outcome. I believe we will see more home grown foods now. I for one have made my pets food for a very long time. You will see a big increase in home canning and home gardens. Maybe we'll all return to the "old" ways soon and community gardens and the likes will be the way to go. Organic of course.

I've been wondering the same thing. You used to hear about food being recalled for possible contamination once in a while but in the last six months or so it's been happening an awful lot. Now pet food. I don't remember pet food ever being recalled. I hate to be a paranoid alarmist but I'm wondering if our food is being contaminated on purpose.

From farms to the supermarket shelves, huge corporations control our food supply. CEOs are willing to take chances on food quality to maximize profits and get huge salaries and bonuses.

I see local farm coops being the wave of the future.
