I certainly know one fellow who does believe that he kills off watch batteries. Fortunately (!) he knows of a store where he can get a bubble pack of 40 watch batteries for a [GB]Pound, so he can keep replacing them!

Once people start believing that sort of stuff, it is very difficult to get them to accept that there may be more obvious or down to earth explanations.

There's actually some evidence to support this claim and some legitimate research to back it up. From everything I can find, any electronic device can be damaged by static discharge, and while there's not a lot of evidence to support the idea that the human body generates its own internal electricity, it's own "energy" if you will, the human body is an excellent conductor of it (as you well know if you've ever touched a metal door handle in the winter when the air is dry). It's also possible that some people, perhaps due to increased sodium levels in the body, may be better conductors of electricity and may discharge static more readily to electronic devices.

Yes. I know first hand the power of peoples energy.. I for one cannot wear any watch unless its shock resistant. My body has a very high electrical field and i am constantly getting zapped. The extra rubber and plastic on the anti shock watches keep me from burning them out.

No. People don't have body energy other than heat and they don't have a net charge. It's a fairy tale.

If u truly believe it will change the energy than chaces are it will. But if you have any doubts than you can throw that idea out the window.
