Does your opinion amount to more than a hill of beans?
Heard that saying most of my life, and I'm still trying to figger it out.

To use the expression "a hill of beans" implies worthlessness. For years, beans were associated with poverty, and as such, if your opinion "wasn't worth a hill of beans", then it was pretty useless.
Now that all of that boring crap is out of the way....
Nope, usually my opinion isn't worth a hill of beans, or worth the paper that it's printed on, or worth it's weight in salt.... or worth..............

Only if a particular individual's opinion touches someone in some way does it matter.
Otherwise, it doesn't amount to a hill of beans!

I think all people matter, therefore their opinions matter too. Love is far better than negativity is takes us much further in life... I am sure you matter much more than a hill of beans... :o)

It doesnt even amount to one bean unless it is an opinon that might actually help someone. Thats why it is called just that.......... an opinion.
