I would choose a bf/gf by searching for the person inside and not worry about their gender, because their personality is the most important thing!

I am bi-sexual, in a long-term relationship with a bi person. We are very nice people and have stable families and careers. We just happen to enjoy both sexes. Pleasure is the goal and being very giving and loving people we just want to enjoy every facet of our sexuality. I am happy that we dont have to sneak around to enjoy the things we like. At first, we were afraid to tell each other for fear of losing each other, but real love accepts unconditionally. Women seem to be more accepted and their activities are considered "hot" by most men, but for men their bisexuality seems to lessen peoples views of them for some reason. My bi man is a mans man all the way, no one would ever know. I think people would be very surprised to know how many men are bi or bi curious. They would be totally shocked. We are extremely selective about whom we become involved with. We have to accept them as friends first, honest and open about things and always safe sex. Good Luck Michele

Most Bisexuals I know prefer the opposite sex for being in a long-term commited relationship with. They prefer same sex for friendship and fun sex. These are usually people who are just very sexually active and creative. I really don't know of anyone who called themselves Bi that ended up "settling down" with someone of the same sex... So... I do not think it has anything to do with these people being the only ones who are looking into the persons true soul... I do not think it is anything that deep at all... I think they are just like heterosexuals, but open-minded and extra horny.

I personally am straight, but know a number of people who state the are "bi". I think its exactly like anyone else who is "completely gay" or "completely straight". Some people just want to maximize their options for "gettin' some" and other are actually looking at who the person really is.
A good example of the first is Rodney Dangerfield's famous quote "Being bisexual doubles your chances of a date on Saturday Night".
A good example of the latter is the movie "Chasing Amy". In it, Amy becomes a lesbian because she realizes that limiting herself to men might cause her to miss her soulmate. Then later in the movie, she realizes that by shutting out men, she's making the same mistake and needs to open herself up to both. A pretty good film all in all.

Many straight and homosexual individuals have deep and loving relationships with people, who due to their gender, they would never consider having a sexual relationship with due to their sexual orientation. So it would be wrong to say that they are not looking at who the person is. Bisexual people are not deeper or more profound then the rest of the world in any way we just have a larger pool of potential sexual partners than the rest of you.

I am a bi-sexual female who actually is attracted to a person for who they are regardless of genger. Although as of late, I have mostly been with other women. Whether it is a girl or a guy, doesn't matter. I just haven't found a guy who peaks my interest lately. It is what's on the inside that counts most. Plumbing is the least of my worries....

Again, what about "SExuality isn't Chosen" don't you quite get?
I don't CHOOSE who I'm attracted to.
Yes, I have been attracted to both males and females. I don't do this for show, I am not a closet lesbian too scared to fully come out. I'm not a straight girl experimenting. I'm actually bisexual.
I've had loving, realtionships with both males and females. My current partner (and hopefully my last) is another female, but I do not idenitify as lesbian.

I read an article recently that bi-sexual men and women usually end up in traditional male-female relationships. I don't recall the reasons, but maybe it's simply easier to deal with socially.

i just happen to like both sexes. i am bisexual. not a straight girl trying to have fun. who ever i am with whether they be male or female is the one that i am with. currently, i'm dating a guy, but my next relationship could be a girl- ya never know.
i just wish there weren't so many labels. i think they complicate things.
