Who is a better all-around shooter: Kobe Bryant or Dirk Nowitzki?

the way this is worded means all shots taking that into consideration Kobe wins out

Dirk has an edge for outside shots as that's all he can do but with all shots you have to take into consideration a midrange game which is clearly all Kobe and a post up game which is all Kobe again a Dirk is scared of the paint

then when you bring in type of shots like late in the game clutch shots that's Kobe again who isn't afraid to take the big shot while dirk clearly is and falls apart when his team needs him the most

the answer is Kobe Bryant for all types of shots and kinds

Dirk shoots a higher percentage and sees just as many double teams as Kobe does. Dirk is a better free throw shooter. Kobe is probably a better clutch shooter, but not by a lot over Dirk (don't the Phoenix game fool you, check out the Phoenix game on Dec. 28th on youtube if you don't believe me)

If you want to get into a who's the better overall player debate thats another discussion. Give me Dirk as far as shooting goes.

Don't get scoring confused with SHOOTING. Oh and if you do want to get into an overall debate, don't forget Kobe is a turnover machine.

Umm all around shooter would by far be kobe. Dirk can score, but he doesn't have the skills of kobe to break up defenders and make impossible shots. Dirk is also not as reliable as kobe when he's double teamed or when he's behind the 3 pt line.

Actually if you think about it, Kobe is. Dirk shot a lot when he first came into the NBA, if you look at his 1st few years of avg. scoring, he was like scoring 30-35 points a game. But now he realize he needs his team players and he needs to play defense, but I'd rather have Kobe. Kobe can go on a scoring tear, scoring like 55 points a game, and Dirk can't do that. And plus, I'd rather have Kobe, cuz' he's "CLUTCH." Dirk, I've never really seen any last second shots to win the game, Kobe does it all the time.

This can't be a serious question. Kobe is a lot more gifted and can do a lot more with the ball and create a lot more than a 7 foot tall small forward. Kobe is a better all around player than Dirk. Don't judge Kobe the player by Kobe the person.

Chris M - your crazy to say Dirk has as much talent as Kobe. He has as good a shot, maybe better. There is no comparison in talent as far as ability and moves. Hell Kobe is a better rebounder than Dirk. Dirk is soft. Dirk couldnt dream of maikng some of the shots that Kobe makes.
Dirk is a better spot up shooter but Kobe creates more oppurtunities for his shot.

It's a bit difficult since in-game, Dirk has several inches on Kobe to get a clean shot.

Too tough to tell. Kobe has a better baseline fadeaway though, since Dirk doesn't shoot it.
