Was thinking of either Destin, Siesta Key, or Clearwater area? Which is better??!!?

I am not saying this to be rude but, the places mentioned I find are filled with tourist and tourist trap type places. I would have to say go to Sanibel Island. You have never seen anything like it. The small island has so much to do and the beaches are some of the best in the world. They have the best shelling on Sanibel you will find shells at your feet that you cannot get anywhere else and they are perfect. Also the water is beautiful and calm. You can find a private place on the beach and walk around the whole island. They also have some of the best resturants. The Lighhouse Cafe is wonderful for breakfast, they also have great lunches. The Bubble Room is a great place for dinner (located on Captivia Island which is connected to Sanibel by a bridge). Wonderful place to go the service is great and the resturant is decorated with old toys that guest leave, you have never seen anything like this. Also there is the Blue Herring wonderful views all around not a bad table in the house. Top Notch service and food. If you want romantic and you want quiet this is the place to go. I have been going there for over 15 years and each year it gets better and better. There is nature all around you can bike the whole island they have bike paths all the way around. There is no commerical resturants well execpt Dairy Queen which has no drive thru and a screened in eating area. The locals go there for ice cream. There is one stop light in town and great shopping with very unique stores only found there. The website is below I hope this helps you. Check it out you will be surprised! Have a good trip!

i wouldn't say it is the most beautiful place but it is really nice perfect place to see the sun go down Clearwater Beach Florida lots of resturants and shopping my favorite places to go are the Laguna good restaraunt the good restuarants are red lobster, IHOP, waffle house and many more lots fo boats to check out including The Pirate Ship, The Shelling, and you must check out the fastest speedboat in the world it is really awesome watching the dolphins jump in the wake ALways lots do do and lots to see tired of the beach and want the mall check out Largo Mall, and the Clearwater mall

i have lived in Florida my whole life and if you are only interested in the ones you stated i would say Destin. but if you are open to suggestions i would say cedar key or sannibele island. cedar key is a quient little town alot of fishing and a cool nightlife. it is a warm and cozy kind of place. sannibele island is more of a beachy romantic kind of place. they both are great places to visit. hope you have a wonderful trip no matter where you go!!
