Imagine this...you're taking the cahsee with all those stupid questions and stupid answers and you're in a real hurry to finish coz u think it's stupid...lol. then they ask you to write something...they ask you to write a narrative about your encounter with an object building or place with character...now wen they say that are they asking for a story or essay?

then after I wrote my story...I saw at the very bottom of the page, like their guideline thing...that there has to be an introduction, body, and conclusion. couldn't that just mean ur "narrative" (which i thought meant story) has to have a beginning middle and end?!

ppl keep saying it's so easy and I feel like I made a dumb mistake and I'd have to live with shame all my life coz I FAILED the cahsee...is it really that easy in all highschools?

can it have conversations? like dialogues? I do have a goal...I noe where I want to go...wat I want to be but it stresses me out coz I want to be a fashion designer (lame, I noe, but I love it) and it has nothing to do with history or biology...etc...and only way I can go to college in the us is if I get a scholarship and if my grades aren't good I'm not gonna be able to be who I want to...that's y I'm stressing over this

narrative is another word for story, but it describes what happened in order. the introduction is at the beginning and tells what will happen, the body is in the middle and tells what did happen, the conclusion is at the end and tells what you told then in the middle. lots of repetition, I know, but that's what they want. hope you got a decent grade.

I think that you just misunderstood the test. The word Narrative is used to describe many different types of writing. But if they had wanted a Fictional Narrative, a story, it probably would have said so. Or a short narrative poem. When it says Narrative they do mean essay.

I think that you need to slow down. I also think you should not beat yourself up. Don't beat up your teachers, don't beat up your tests, just stop. Think about who and what you want to become.

Do you have goals in life? Once you do the taking of tests and the learning starts to work towards the goals that you want. Then you don't get so upset. Then you take your time.

Try thinking it over. Learning from life and mistakes means getting stronger and having more courage, not less. Other people's opinions mean very little, when you know who you really are. Take time to find out.
