No offense to anyone out there...some cars are "guy" cars, but many are "chick" cars. The Toyota MR Spyder is a chick car, in my opinion. The VW New Beetle convertible is an uber chick car. The VW R32 is an uber guy car.

I use this as my barometer: What is the main focus of the car, regardless of how it's shaped or dressed? If it's performance [high HP engine, stiff suspension, big brakes, etc], it's a guy car. If it's more show than go [current & recent Mitsubishi Eclipses, for example], it's aimed at female buyers.

Miatas cater to both groups. It's one of the best-performing 2-seaters that you can buy, yet it's affordable enough and has an appeal to women that they will also buy it. Most women won't drive it like a man will, but that performance is there if it's ever called upon. AWESOMELY reliable car.

Good luck~

I have an 06 Miata, and it is a truly excellent car. Very reliable & gets great gas mileage. However, If all you care about is getting a "manly" car, get a Viper. It's a piece of junk, but it is very manly.

Naw. What's manly is a custom Harley and an American Legion Riders leather jacket...

I know that it is *not* "manly" to lack the self-confidence necessary to know that your manhood is not defined by what car you drive.
