No Plus the insurance rate would be way high.
Look for something like a 2004-2006 Chevy Malibu.

Most sixteen year old drivers should not be driving their own vehicles. They are not responsible enough to do so. The insurance rates would be unbelievably high, due to the inexperience factor and the fact that young people of that age cause the highest amounts of accidents.
A convertable does not offer a lot of protection in an accident situation, and the insurance would be even higher as it would be termed a sports vehicle.
I did not have a vehicle of my own until I completed my undergraduate studies in college and I have done completely fine since then, and I appreciate the fact that my parents allowed me to work for myself to have the things that I want in this life.
Having a vehicle when you are sixteen is not necessary.

Why does a 16 year old need a convertible to begin with. I would shop around a little more. I would say to consider something a little more economical until they can help with their insurance because with only being 16 insurance on a convertible will be sky high unless you get really good rates to begin with.
I would just re-think that option. I know when my daughter is 16 I will not let her get a convertible NO WAY!!

properly the coolest would be a convertible in case you reside in places like California or Florida. Coupe may be the main suitable for a sixteen 12 months old. by way of fact its smaller extra gasoline effectual. and seems all around extra appropriate.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Dennis J. got a bright red new trans am with open top for his 16th birthday. He drove it like a nut. Asked my daughter out, I said no way would she get in that car with him. He killed himslef in it a week later! New drivers cause more accidents than anyone on the road! Ask any insurance company if you don't believe me!

Considering new drivers almost always cause accidents that will make ANY new driver more likely to roll a convertible over. But I'm sure you'll force youreself to believe "it wont happen to my kid" or "my kids not stupid enough to cause an accident" so maybee you'll just get one with a "pop-up" rollbar.

The type of car doesn't make a driver safe or unsafe. Just asking indicates you are not as safe a driver as you should be.
