I used to work for a bank, and unfortunately I saw too many customers fall for this, especially elderly customers.
Basically people, there is no such thing as an International Lottery, and if there is, they're not going to randomly draw your name out of a hat....especially if you didn't even enter your name in! If a stranger buys something from you and then says they need money back or needs your PayPal account number....don't fall for it!!!

This has been going on for years, eight that I am sure of. There was an expose on NBC last night by Chris Hansen of Dateline NBC. He usually has the "To Catch a Predator" series, but they decided to try to catch some Nigerian scammers. They actually made contact with three of them and exposed them on TV. That's just three, there are hundreds of them.
this isn't against the law in Nigeria, and since they consider that every American is rich, their aim is to steal as much as they can from every one stupid enough to fall for this stuff. And if a person is that stupid, they deserve to be cleaned out financially.

Alot of scams come from Nigeria, and this happens to be one of them. They will eventually ask for your bank account information, and if in the event that you do give it out, your funds may disappear without trace.
If in the future you do inherit a large sum of money, i'm sure the right person will approach you in person, legally.

Yes! I actually followed up on the one I got, and Joseph Ngumumumba was extremely happy to divide the $100 million USD we rescued from his country in the name of Joesephus J. Johnson (deceased) 60% to 40% with me. I am now sitting on my own private island in the South Pacific having blonde secretary #1 type this message into your answer. Blonde secretary #2 and blonde secretary #3 are fondling parts of my body best left unmentioned while I sip champagne from my platinum encrusted champagne flute. Soon I will have another hit from my solid 22 karat Crack pipe inlaid with the finest of diamonds. Too bad your life still stinks, but Hey! Nothing ventured, nothing gained...,

I get them occasionally.
Sometimes I complain to the owning domain... if I can be bothered.
419eater rocks... stiff the scammers at their own game.

419 eater has been around for years.
This isn't news, nor is it a question.
Here's a question for you, do you know why it is called 419?
