To answer your Additionals first:

Due to the number of questions and users on this site, you can't assume the same people are seeing them both (I saw the other one, then this).

People have things they want to say, and use any chance they see to say them. (Had I not seen this question before answering the other -- I'm unusual, in that I leave question windows up a long time before chiming in -- I probably would have given my list of Bads there.)

So, bad things -- in no particular order.

Hurt education by re-purposing it to be a system for teaching students only one thing: proficiency at passing machine-gradable tests, an anti-educational purpose.

Hurt seniors with a bill that costs them more money for their meds, rather than less (in order to profit all the middle-people).

Hurt our relations and the opinion of nearly every country and ever person in the world.

Put us in an illegal, immoral, unwinnable war.

Instituted a policy of torture, putting us in violation of international law, and, perhaps worse, encouraging people to support and defend this heinous practice.

"Environmental laws" that destroy the environment (a "Clean Air" act that allows spewing more filth into the air, for example).

Filling posts with incompetent cronies, everywhere he was able. The most notorious was "Heckuva Job Brownie" who's inaction killed people.

Awarding massive piles of money in no-bid contracts to known thieves (most notably Haliburton) who have been robbing us with every contract.

Putting us in horrific debt by cutting taxes paid by the people who own all the money, giving money to thieves, and waging insane, illegal, and immoral war.

The Patriot Act, which tries to override Constitutional protections.

Adding exponentially to a growing divisiveness in the country -- for example, labeling everyone who disagrees with him (the vast majority of Americans do) "terrorists who hate America".

Preventing medical research that would improve the quality of life for millions of citizens.

Re-purposing governmental agencies into propaganda tools (rewriting scientific reports to suit his anti-scientific beliefs, such as reports on global warming; having agencies put out phony "news" reports, among other things).

You asked for harm to our country, so I haven't mentioned the harm to the world in general, which does ultimately, though not directly, harm us.

My list is just off the top of my head, and, no, I didn't give sources, but they would be easy to find.

Of course, Bush himself could not have done much of this without the compliance of a Congress and media that abdicated their responsibilites, and the citizens who felt impelled to "support" our President after we were attacked.

Destruction of individual liberty, replacing it with big-government intervention in private life, driven by fundamentalist delusions about what "morality" is.

Running up the national debt to unprecedented levels, forgetting that this kind of overspending brought about the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Governing under the presumption that God appointed him to rule, the kind of fallacy that pertained to the Bourbons and Stuarts who adhered to the alleged "divine right" of kings.

how much time you got, son?

No need to leave you sources, just take a look on this board.

The most divided time in our nation's history since the American Civil War.

The total errosion of our Constitution and Bill of Rights and the hands of an over reaching, power mad administration.

the most unpopular war in our nation's history

the most scandal ridden administration EVER

I think it would be easier (and faster) to list all the good things he's done. Plus there would be far less research involved.

I can't think of a single thing he has done to harm the country besides maybe not acting more forcefully on illegal immigration. Although I am sure you are going to get the full scale Bush-bashing rhetoric with no factual evidence for support.

Last Tuesday, as President Bush got off the helicopter carrying a baby piglet under each arm, the squared away Marine guard snaps to attention, salutes, and says: "Nice pigs, sir."

The President replies, "These are not pigs. These are authentic Arkansas Razorback Hogs. I got one for Senator Hillary Clinton and I got one for Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi."

The squared away Marine again snaps to attention, salutes, and says, "Excellent trade, sir."

I personally don't think that Mr.Bush has done any wrong it's just that there is an extremely a lot of new legislations that needs to be reconsidered not to mention tax reforms etc.
