I am 39 weeks 5 days, and i feel like i really need to pee, but there is nothing there, I have been running back adn forth to the toilet for an hour, is this normal

Does not sound normal. Since you are so far along I would call my ob/gyn and see what they think you need to do.

Goodness yes, it's normal. The baby is having a good time playing kickball with your bladder. When you get to advanced pregnancy, that stretched out uterus displaces everything else and all of your organs get moved around. Sometimes the bladder can end up wedged under the uterus so it feels like the baby is sitting on it! It won't be long now - at least running to the bathroom will keep you busy until the labor starts!
