It's all relative. Talking of humans, a 20 y/o is old compared to a child. A 40 y/o is old compared to the 20 y/o.
But unless they are quite old...as in in their 70's, 80's, 90's....I personally don't think of them as old.

For those saying that 40 is old... pssahw, it is not. I'm 38 and I barely feel like a bona fide adult, much less someone who's almost old. LOL, just wait, when you get close to 40, you'll see it's pretty cool.
What is old? Old is when you give up on your youth. Old is when you close your mind up and refuse to learn new things. Old is when you're crotchety and a pain in the ***. Old is when you don't laugh anymore.
I'm never growing up, lol!

Being old is a state of mind. There are some people who are old in their 20's and there are some people who are young in their 80's.

I don't think you can define old with a number...Old is all in your head...I know people who are 75 years old and in better shape than most of my friends who all are in their 20's. When I think of old I think of a person with no will power...Staying young is a state of mind.
