None of the above! All the pros know that the computer gnomes make a computer fast! The more gnomes you have the better.
See the gnomes spread melted butter all over themselves and attempt to luge around the PC on the cabling. This pushes the electricity through the system faster because gnomes are fat. And a fat naked gnome drenched in butter will push anything out of the way.

A little of everything. Speed is normally assoicated with processor speed. Ram has a big effect on it, the speed of the ram has an effect as well. The speed of the hard drive plays a part. How much cache you have is thrown in there as well.
As you can see it is not just one thing that makes a computer fast, but a whole does it.

The hardware in general. CPU/GPU/FSB/RAM/HDD all have to be fast to make a fast computer. If one is too slow it will drag the rest of the parts down with it.

All except the harddrive.. well, the harddrive also kindda responsible, because your computer will be slow if you have less than 30% of your mother drive (C:) free.
