he keeps fainting. he is seventeen, and very fit and healthy (he plays lots of sport etc, has a 6 pack and stuff, so he's not unhealthy). his friends mock him and call him a GIRL and a SISSY. he isn't, is he? he cant help it?
he goes really cold and shaky and shivery, and is unconscious for about 3 minutes a time. it's happened about 5 times this week already.
i am worried. he wont go to a doctor. he says he can 'handle it.'
help!

Tell his parents about these episodes. He may think he can handle it, but that's what parents are for. They can make him go to the doctor and find out what is wrong. It could be serious and needs to be checked out. If he gets mad at you, tough, you are looking out for him when he's too stubborn to. Sometimes we have to piss off the ones we love to take care of them. Tell his parents today.

He definately HAS to go to a doctor immediately. It could be something very serious. There are lots of things that can cause fainting. If you care about him you have to call his parents and let them know about this. What if something happened to him because he didn't go to the doctor? You need to make them aware of this now! Good luck to you and him.

Does his mother know about this? I'm sure she could get him to a doctor. He might have issues with blood sugar, could be seizures, or it could be anything. He really does need to see a doctor.
Hmmm...it seems that your brother has exactly the same problem, according to your questions. Maybe the water of whatever town you live in is tainted?

If he's really active and not eating properly, his blood sugar could be dropping (hypoglycemia) - thus causing the cold/shakiness and fainting. He needs to get his blood sugar checked.

Make very, very sure he is not using steroids. This is in addition to the other stuff mentioned here by other answerers. Lots of excellent advice.

if you love him -make him go because this is not right for healthy young males he is ill and needs medical attention asap-Tell his parents what's going on and get him to a doctor.
He better start wanting to handle it or he might be in a far worse off situation!

He is probably dehydrated. He needs to go to his doctor. Tell his parents, that's what they're there for.
