Why don't you go to the HP web site and download an updated printer driver?

uninstall the printer by going to hardware summery or printer menu. Then reinstall cpu and let windows find the printer and install driver from www.hp.com

uninstall everything to do with the printer reboot and install the software and reboot again

If you continue to have this problem, go to the hp website and go to support and find the "live chat" section. They are VERY helpfull and if you give them permission, they can access your computer from theirs, to find out the problem and fix it! Hope this helps!
