it seems like the next day we make up. Whenever we hang out though we find something to argue about and it gets pretty intense. We've been best friends for almost four years but the arguing only started six months ago. Would it make a difference witht the fact that he's a guy and I'm a girl? It also seems like I'm his only friend because no one else can stand him. Does anyone have any advice? Is it possible that he likes me?

our families get along great and I don't believe there are any problems at home. We both will be 19 in the summer (we're only two days apart-our moms saw each other in the hospital-wierd,eh?). We're both in college, but he decided to stay home and do the whole community college thing and I went about 250 miles away, but we call call all the time.

What do you mostly argue about? It sounds to me like he probably doesnt know how you feel about him, so he gets testy, because he is guarding his heart from being broken. In my opinion, if you even asked the question, does he like me? then, in your heart you probably think he does. How do you feel about him? Some of the best marriages begin as friendships, even when they dont get along at first! Examine how you feel about him, and find out what you want to do about it! Just don't lead him on if you are not interested!! :) Good luck! P.S. I will do your flowers for the wedding!!! :)

It seems that your friendship is shifting.....do you or your friend have more feelings for each other than "friendship"? If the arguing is new to your relationship and your not attracted to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend it sounds to me like you are getting comfortable like brother and sister. The fact that no one else is friends with your friend might be a warning sign that you should step back and look at the whole picture. Why do they not like him and why DO I like him? Is this a healthy, productive friendship for you? Do you make time for other friends? Only you can answer your own question.

Maybe he does like you,And he just can't tell you yet.I don't know.I have a best friend too,and I know that when we see each other every day we will often argue but then we would makeup almost right away.If we have a couple days without each other then we end up mot fighting at all.It's just like having an intimate relationship.Now my best friend lives three hours away and I only get to see her once or twice a month,so we don't fight at all now.Good luck dealing with your friendship.

This is your Best Friend, you must be open with him. Tell him how much this relationship means to you and talk about the things you have been through. Share with him your feeling on what direction you want for this relationship, then ask him what direction does he see for your relationship?

No no it wouldn't make a diffrence even if u r a girl and he's a boy.As u said u r his only frnd and no one else can stand him then don't let him go away even u get into an hyper level of fight coz u r his only frnd and if he loses u then he woul b completely heartbroken and hopeless.Even if he dosn't apologise to you then you should and make it up to him. Yeah there could be chances that he likes u

You would know if he liked you after four years maybe theirs a reason why no one Can stand him and your finally started to argue back doesn't mean hes not your friend just you might have gotten tired.

I think you hit the nail on the head......sure sounds that way. Or maybe you just need some space from eachother a bit or he may be having bad feelings about himself that he doesn't share with you and yet you are the only one he feels safe enough with to take it out on......JMO...good luck.

look me and my friend are ALWAYS arguing and we are exactly like you. me and him have known each other since i can remember (not as long as you think... lol) and he likes me he probably likes you if like your with a guy or your arguring about a guy then he DEFINITELY likes you but remember teen yrs.(i don't know if your teens but what ever...lol) are like the hardest thing!! don't worry so much about it just talk to him or get a friend to talk to him or something. just find out what's wrong and if you want find out if he likes you a little bit.

i think he feel like he lost attention from u , that is why he keep arguing and fighting with u to get attention back
just try to be more nice with him and try to forgive him
may be this guy loved u , why not ?

Yeah..it sounds like he likes you. My ex and I were the same way. He didn't have many friends and we would always argue about stupid stuff.
