The situation is that my husband is leaving and I have two small children, expecting my third in three weeks. I am looking for a way to make ends meet and to be able to continue to stay at home w/my children. I am considering offering laundry services, but have no idea where to start. Any advice concerning reasonable rates, etc. would be appreciated. I know at the local laundromats, the rates are $1/lb. for them to wash/dry/fold your laundry, detergent is included, but you dropoff & p/u. Would be offering pickup/drop off, thanks for your help. Also, any additional ideas on making it work. Considered soliciting the local campus, as I hear that laundry services are becoming more popular now. Don't want to get into something that would not be worthwhile. Thanks, Tiffany

I'm in SoCal and the type of service you are considering for laundry is very popular here, especially for apartment dwellers who have to use common laundry facilities. Since they pay $1.50 for a washer load and $1.25 for a dryer load in most apartments, the $2.50 per pound fluff & fold home delivery service is not only convenient, but a time saving bargain. The trucks I see around town also offer pressing service for $2.50 per garment which is also the going rate for dry cleaners. You really should solicit your business at apartment complexes with working people who don't have time to do their own laundry. Good luck on your new business venture.

Cumberland Laundry amenities in Port Arthur Ontario have been good too yet a sprint greater priced than Riteway! only ask people on your section. there probable be some good laundry amenities on your section! Cheapo Laundry amenities wasn't good they did no longer fold the clothing.. they rolled them!
