I hope not, because ever since I found out I was having a girl I keep dreaming that I am having a boy. What I am saying is that you can have very very strange and vivid dreams while pregnant. For example, I constantly dream of drinking a beer and smoking a cigarette and I quit smoking over a year ago. It is just weird how hormones affect everything. I have also dreamed about people I haven't seen since I was young, my kid coming out as an adult and tons of other crazy stuff.
You are perfectly normal, it is just another side effect of our crazy hormones.

It is completly normal to be having strange dreams it is all the hormons working in our bodies. Some women dream about ex-lovers being the fathers (even though these lovers are from many years in the past), Others dream about fish swimming upstream and even others dreams are very strange compared to those. When I was pregnant with my first child I had the same dream over and over again that when he would roll over in my stumach and his feet would leave inprints on the out side of my skin and they were HUGE feet so that when I gave birth to him I had to ask if his feet were the right size. Congrats on the pregnancy and don't worry about your dreams they are just that dreams.

Sometimes I get depressing thoughts as well. Like my husband leaving me or me being overweight and not being able to lose it all and feel like a complete slob. My doctor has told me that this is some type of pre-postpartum depression. I told my husband about my thoughts, just so I get them out. Of course just to make me happy he tells me I'm the most beautiful thing in the world. Even though I have wide feet and a big butt (37 weeks along). But having bad thoughts are perfectly normal. Some people are cheery throughout their whole pregnancy and some just get a little mopey.

Whenever you are pregnant you have very strange and vivid dreams, I think most all of us did. What ever is weighing in your subconscious will always play out in your dreams somehow. So add it all together, try and relax. Everyone becomes so unsure of so many things, even if it is out of character, you have so many hormones flying everywhere.

There is definitely a link between weird dreams and pregnancy. If you aren't having any problems in this area, I would say they are probably irrational and not to pay too much attention to them.

yes there is a strong link between pregnancy and bad dreams.
regarding this particular dream about being abandoned, you need to consider whether you are facing feelings of dependence. There may be a fear of being left or losing your boyfriend, perhaps arising from an actual experience of loss in the past.

Okay, you're not alone! I had dreams of sleeping with many different men when I was pregnant. It would never happen, but I guess my hormones were raging, and yours probably are, too! I wouldn't worry about it unless you see clues from your boyfriend. Good luck!

yeah i have dreams that my boyfriend leaves me to go back with his ex.... which really bothers me because when we first got together he cheated on me with her, which has been about 3 years since then and he hasnt done it again.... but the dreams reallyyyyy bother me and i worry about him leaving me for her when im awake ( they have a kid together) so i think i might make myself have those bad dreams. it just leaves me waking up feeling really depressed. 37 wks.
