Wear whatever you want as long as it's comfortable. I actually found that wearing tights/panty hose was comfortable and very supportive, especially during the last couple of months. Just be sure to either purchase the pregnancy pantyhose (expensive) or Queen+

I think either would be fine. You may have heard the stocking thing because they give extra support to your legs. I had to wear suppose hose because I developed varicose veins. You should wear what you are most comfortable in. If you notice your legs are achy, try the supportive hose, both tights and nylon stockings are made in maternity. Good luck.

Stockings re always more sanitatry than tights. I wouldn't be cought wearing tights for more than an houer, and I wear stockings all day long. They let you breathe, and do not promote the growth of bacteria like tights do.

I am not aware that you shouldn't wear tights - however, I wore hold up stockings rather than tights when I was pregnant purely so that I didn't have to get anything over my bump!

sorry but what is the difference between tights and stockings anyway? i know that sounds stupid but i arrived here recently from a very warm region where you never wore anything but t-shirts and shorts/skirts - so i don't have a clue.
i am six months pregnant and recently bought marks and spencer maternity stockings - is that alright i now wonder.

What you are reffering to are support stockings. These are good for pregnant women who have put on alot of weight during their pregnancy or have bad veins in their legs. They really do help. You can get them at the drug store, if you ask your o.b. for them, they will presribe them and your insurance will pay for them.

Wear what you are comfortable in, but you can buy support tights which were recommended to me, but i had varicose veins after my 1st pregnancy.
