How do I yell so that I can hit the higher notes in my range without going into falcetto? I really need to learn how to do that.

First off, singing is not yelling (even if it sounds like it sometimes!). Most men need to be in falsetto to hit higher notes to not wreck their voices!

To expand your range the only thing you can do are warm-ups that stretch your cords. Try doing scales up and down on an "ah" vowel, moving up by half step until it's uncomfortable. Just be VERY careful that when it becomes too high and straining that you stop there. Move up gradually day by day until you've reached your desired range. You will plateau at some point, it's normal and that is the highest your voice will go without flipping to falsetto! Resting your voice during non-singing times will help with your vocal health!

Make sure you're breathing deep for every exercise and when you're singing anytime! If you can't get the proper deep breath feeling (tummy and back expansion-- shoulders should not go up!), try squatting about half-way down to lower your center of gravity. It forces your body to breathe deep and use the entire lung! I garantee that the first time you try it you will notice a difference. It does help when trying to hit those higher notes!

Good luck and be careful! You only get one set of vocal cords your entire life! Take care of them!

First off you should never yell when you are singing. It's horrible for your voice. You should keep reaching and praticing your highest note in your range and eventually your vocal cords will stretch to hit the note. If not then you've reached the top of your range. Take voice lessons you can sometimes gain a whole octave with practice!
