Steve's co-worker was in a automobile accident! She received a trachea by the first responder who found her unconscious and with an obstructed air way. Unfortunately, all he had available was a crow bar you perform the operation thus leaving her with a permanent scare over the entire front of her neck. The girl likes Steve and is afraid if he See's this, not only will he not like her but, will run away quitting his job causing her to go into deep depressed state of mind. If she only knew Steve wasn't paying attention to her turtleneck but, the hole in her pants below the back pocket. There is something Steve finds attractive about that. Steve doesn't want to tell her about the hole because she wears the pants on Friday and if he tells her, he is afraid of the obvious. One day she finally decided to wear a V neck blouse and just face the consequences! Thank God it was Friday!

Oh, did you mean the question to refer to the turtlenecks? Perhaps your question should have read, "Why does she do this?" Maybe they work outside in a cold climate.

I went to college with a girl who wore turtlenecks most all the time. Turns out that someone had once said something she took to be unflattering about her neck. I saw her neck one time and it looked perfectly normal to me. But she was very self-conscious about it.
