What do Divorce attorneys make high end ones? What is the work load like? Especially for divorce attorneys targeted middle to rich clients not the white trash types.

My brother is an attorney and was telling me about some of his clients.

It seems that Mr. was fooling around. Mrs. was too, but she was better at not getting caught.

So, brother hires a PI to trail Mr and his new honey. After a few incriminating pictures from the local Holiday Inn, they filed for divorce.

Of course, Mr. denied everything and was in serious trouble once the pictures were shown - OOPS!

Well it turned out that Mr. had a very nice nestegg that he had inherited from Daddy and Mommy. So, he hired a tribe of high $$$ guys to try to bring the woman down. Not so fast as the tribe wasn't so smart as to trail the Mrs and her new boytoys.

Anyway, the judge awarded her Miiiiillions of $$$$ because Mr. couldn't keep his pants zipped up and asked them to arbitrate the splitting up of the assets. So, my brother is sitting there billing out at $200 an hour and the tribe of attorneys are sitting there at around $200 each. It took them a week of negotiation (that would be 40 hours at $200 each).

The point of this is, during the negotiation, the toaster came up. It was a wedding gift from his deceased aunt. However, Mrs got all the kitchen appliances and wanted the toaster (not because she cared about the toaster, it just aggravated Mr.). Mr. decided to dig his heels in. They ultimately argued over the toaster (that didn't cost more than $25 at the appliance store) for 8 hours. The toaster cost MR. over $1000 before it was over with (he got the toaster and agreed to replace it with an equal or better model).
