Don't buy another test yet. Give yourself a few weeks, sometimes it does take a bit to get pregnant. And it does take a bit for the test to register as positive....Good luck & best wishes.

I have very irregular periods. I only had my period four times last year, and there is no rhyme or reason to the timing. A month ago my husband and I decided that we wanted to start TTC for our first child, and I made a doctor's appointment two weeks after that becuase of the irregular periods.

It does not make it easier, in fact in most cases it can make it harder, especially if your period doesn't come every month like mine. I would consult a doctor. They may be able to help you ovulate and get your period more regularly to help you TTC.

Good luck!

I too have irregular periods. I can go months with out one and then have one for 2-3 weeks straight. I wouldnt say it makes it easier to get pregnant but it makes it a lot harder to tell when you are ovulating so that you can get pregnant cuase your ovulation times change all the time.

Think u need to go to a gynec n check urself to treat ur irregular periods.
u can also do ht home ovulation tests available to determine your fertile days n then try....
As far as i know u can become pregnant if u ve irregular periods, assuming that u dont ve any further complications.
Its always better to consult a doc..
N all d best....

there is no more likely way to get pregnant if you have irregular periods. i think its something like just before you go on your period. like a week before and up to it? obviously not when you are on it because that is the least likely time, and just after is the same. somewhere inbetween last time and this time up to this time. lol hope that helps.

Periods are not indicators of ovulation. . . You need ovulation to get pregnant. If you have irregular periods you need to get an ovulation test. You can regularly ovulate but not regularly menstruate.
