WELL , in Paris there definitely isn't a guilt problem. the idea is you make the other driver feel guilty!
In London, i have noticed there are many uncomfortable silent drivers...

I lived in New York where there is a half second between the time the light changes and the time the car behind you starts honking. I used to feel guilty, but now I realize that some people are too busy either on their cell phone or goofing off to drive correctly.

I generally do not honk my horn, unless the person is doing something which is dangerous either to them or to everyone around them. I do not feel guilty for honking in those situations.

Yes I don't like honking because the person who you are honking at really does need it or you wouldn't do it...and it just breaks my heart at the meaness that comes back toward you from the other person. Its really sad because I have my kids in the car and I will honk at someone if they are about to hit me when changing lanes and when I honk..they flip me off..and its just so so sad..I'm protecting my kids, my self and my car and they twist into me being the jerk..and its just so sad..that someone would have that much bitterness or hatred in their heart to act that way

If you're stuck at a green light, you can just give a little tap so they know you're not being bitchy.
In general, if I honk my car horn at someone, I can guarantee you that they deserved a lot worse.

No, I do not feel guilty when honking the horn because I only honk when it is truly justified.

I wish grocery carts had horns. Some lady on a cell phone stood at the checkout with a cart full of groceries talking on her cell phone and didn't even start putting them up there for the lady to check because she was so caught up in her phone conversation she didn't notice the person ahead of her was done. I wanted to rip the phone out of her hands and stomp on it but instead I just sighed very loudly and rolled my eyes and she got the point.

No, I get angry when people do stupid things on the road. When I honk at them I never feel guilty.

No....I honked at and flipped off an old lady that cut me off yesterday. My boyfriend yelled at me for doing it, but she deserved it. People need to know when they are doing wrong.
