Because as Americans, we're trained that we absolutely MUST meddle in everyone's affairs. Thanks to TV shows like MTV real world, and Wife Swap and all those other completely pointless wastes of time, we think we must observe everyone around us and form opinions on what they should or shouldn't do. When we reach a decision, we then feel impelled to let someone know what we think. Yet we hate it when people do it to us.
By all means, if you make a cute couple, that's everything in life right there. Gee, as long as it pleases your friends. (sarcasm)

I hug my guy friend, that doesn't mean were dating. I think they just want something to tease you about. If you know deep down that you and the guy are just friends don't let your other friends convince you that you two should date you might end up ruining a good thing. Friends who mean well can sometimes be more harmful than helpful. Your really either gonna have to ignore them or get pissed off and yell at them so they'll get the messasge to stop.
Besides a bunch out of 7 is still less than a bunch--Majority rules!

Go out with him and you'll never be best friends again. Don't do it. And if your friends really want the two of you together, you have to wonder why. If he was such a great catch they'd want him themselves. Maybe they just want you off the market.

Maybe it's because yall know so much about each other. Some people say that a guy and a girl can't just be friends but I have male friends that are just friends. Don't jump that hurdle if you're not ready. Maybe you don't like him like that but if you do then make that decision for yourself and not let your friends push you into something that might not work. when i was in high school, my best guy friend try to kiss me, but i told him no and that i didn't feel that way about him. to this day i wonder just how it would have been. so take a chance and see where it takes you, if you guys are truly good friends even if things don't work out, you will still be friends in the end.

I have a friend that it happened to after 4 years and now they are pretty happy together... Everyone saw it but they didn't until they open there minds to it... Whats the worst that can happen??
