Driving instructor, upto 30K a year and train around your current job.
plus you are your own boss, only have to answer to the supervising examiner in your area once every 4 years unless someone reports you for any reason, which is rare.
get a new car every 6-12 months, which is yours while you have it so you can use it for personal use.
And you dont think about it once you turn off the ignition at the end of the day until you go to pick up your first pupil the next day

Hi, My bf Gavin got fed up with his job and is joining the Royal Navy now as a paramedic, he'll get 3 yrs training and when we get married we'll get very cheap accomodation. You can join the Navy upto age 34. They'll train you for any job you want to do and if you have a degree you can go in as an officer. I hope that helps, also, RAF is worth looking at too. Annie x

Hi!
God, this is a difficult one isn't it. My boyfriend is going through the same thing. It's really hard for me to give suggestions as I don't know what his interests are, but Learn Direct offer a careers advice service for adults which looks really good, so maybe he could get help from there!
The other alternative, if this is an option, is to think about relocating. My boyfriend's Surrey flat is worth £200k, but he could get an even better place in Birmingham (where I live) for £150k! If your boyfriend was willing to move, he could free up some money whilst perhaps training for a new career.
xx Emmie

How about starting a business part time while keeping his job. If he's successful, he could keep growing the business until he makes enough to quit his present job.
My husband and I have an online/offline retail business that might work for him. I can't give you details here since it's against the rules of this site but send me an email or check out my profile if you'd like more information.

He could visit a careers advisor and see what they have to say, they'll be able to point him in the direction of a job based on what qualifications he has.
You could try logging on to:
http://www.prospects.ac.uk
They also have a range of job prospects that you can look at detailing what qualifications you need to apply, salary, career development etc.

I don't suppose he's fed up with eating? How about with a roof over his head and gas money and... Seems to me in this day and age he'd be happy to have a job!

Be your own boss - do network marketing. You pick your own hours. You rest when you want to. The money? You decide what you want and work towards it.

He can try a headhunter, if he wants to (they will usually charge a fee). Someone that finds jobs for people within his profession--see what they can find for him.
