He's clearly deserving yet often overlooked. What makes him a great player is that not only is he a star, but he makes his whole team better. Now averaging 25.2 points and 9.7 rebounds a game this season I think he's finally do. Who do you think will take it?

The answer is YES but the question is will the voters think so as well? Sometimes I really don't understand how these voters think. Nash is an awesome player, arguably the best PG in the game now, but last year, I'm not too sure that MVP was his. I could have sworn Dirk had a better year also but I don't do the voting. As far as this year goes, i'm hoping the panel gets it right and gives it to Dirk because he clearly deserves it.

I don't think he can win it this year. Considering the fact that he crumbled during the double overtime loss to the Suns (missed a freethrow that would have won the game) while former teammate Steve Nash flourished and delivered in the clutch, Steve is going to win the MVP this year.
But hope is still alive for Dirk. The Suns and Mavericks will still meet again in the regular season (in Phoenix, I think) and Dirk should use that as a tool to get the advantage back. But it will be hard since Nash will also be doing everything to make sure that the MVP will go to him. So expect a very competitive game not only between the teams but also between these two MVP candidates.

Sorry but Dirk's chances have probably gone down since the double overtime loss versus the Suns,he fell apart and missed a couple of crucial shots and free throws.I would also like to add that Steve Nash has been having a career year as well in points,assists,and steals.I see Steve Nash winning it but not by a lot of votes.

Kobe deserves to finally get his MVP, if he stays ahead of Carmelo this will be the second year in a row as the league's scoring champion....he leads a cast of nobodies, and they are still in contention for a top 5 finish in the West and he dropped 81 points last year....and then had 115 points over a 2 day span this year....Kobe pumbaa!!!!

Dirk 4 MVP!! He has deserved it for the past two years. and he would already have a championship if it wasnt for the stupid phantom calls by the refs!!!!

Well the MVP is usually given to the team with the best record and Dallas clearly has that, he has played very well this year. I think he has it.
