If I do a list then I tend to remember without taking the list with me. If I don't do a list then that is when I will forget things.
Generally though I am really good at remembering everything.
On a Saturday morning I have a very deffinate list of what I need to do when and have never forgotten anything.
I used to be really good with phone number until I got a mobile and since I got a home phone with the same features (e.g. can store numbers) I have become rubbish at remembering numbers.
Shopping and Birthdays i am really good at but things that i have lent out or borrowed I am terrible with!

Everything you do is a list of instructions you have remembered - everything from getting out of bed in the morning, how to take a shower, directions to work, jobs to do at work, etc.
There is nothing that cannot be broken down in to a list of instructions that you have remembered at some point in your life.

Birthday's and some phone number's. For everything else I write a list to save me remembering stuff like what shopping I need, use it and throw it away.

The daily routine. Get up on time, get showered, brush teeth, do hair, get the kids ready for school, get kids up, get kids dressed, get kids breakfast, make them lunch and a snack, get them on the bus, speed to work and punch in before 8:30, work all day, speed home, make dinner, get homework done, relax, put kids to bed, clean house (kitchen and pick up after kids), do laundry and go to bed at 1:00 AM for 5 hours of rocky sleep. 5 days a week, every school week of the year. Calgon – take me away!
