My b/f is not able to orgasm from oral stimulation. He enjoys it, but it just won't take him over the edge. Should we be concerned? He is on a beta blocker for blood pressure and I suspect his medication is part of the issue. He is able to get aroused, but doesn't seem to be able to maintain his erection after a short period of time.

beta blocker have this side effect, you aren't doing anything wrong, just be patient, he could try having his meds changed, there are a lot of different BP meds out there

It depends upon the medication but the answer is YES, high blood pressure medication may affect his sexual drive. Suggest that he talk to the doctor who prescribed it and perhaps there can be a change that will keep the blood pressure under control but not affect the sex drive. There may also be mental problems here - he may have been brought up being told that oral sex is wrong and he is feeling guilt. Or maybe he needs some positive feedback from you like letting him know that you just love what you are doing. How is your technique? Do you vary the action or is it just your lips going up and down all the time? Part of positive feedback can be moaning and "humming" which can give him significant stimulation. Vary the speed - tease his little head with your tongue. If you are already doing this please excuse the little lesson. Perhaps a little "6 and nine" may work where you both perform orally on each other at the same time. I guess another question is does he perform cunnilingus on you? If not that may also be a clue to the problem. For me, oral sex is the greatest thing a woman can do for me but I will intentionally hold back so that, if she is in the mood, I can pleasure her also. Good luck with the man.

Yes and no. This is my thought only. Your boyfriend may feel somewhat inhibited by the thought of having an orgasm while you perform oral sex with him. It's somewhat of a non -explainable hidden feeling that some men have. If this is entirely something you desire to give him there are several books in major bookstores that deal with foreplay and technique that will help you both. Borders and Barnes and Nobel have self help explanations and patterns of technique.
I would explain what I've read but I don't want to be tossed from this site. If your open minded and willing to take suggestions these publications will present many surprises for both of you. None are weird or outlandish (in my view).

I have this same problem I don't think it is the medication I don't take medication. I can't have an orgasm during sex either but I can orgasm from masturbation. I have trouble keeping my erection too. I don't know what the problem is I have asked people myself. From what I have found. Has he ever been molested? Has he ever had a spinal injury? both of those can be causes from the research I have done. He could also have delayed ejaculation where he can't orgasm from sex which is my problem the good thing is I can go for hours if I can keep my erection. Does he have this problem?

Some men can't try both oral stimulation and using your hand at the same time, a little of both. Has he never achieved that or just with you? You might need to learn different techniques
