Frequent peeing can be caused by many reasons. These include not so dangerous ones like excessive consumption water or soft-drinks, sitting in a very cool room that your body has to drain the excess fluids or simply from too much tea that has a diurectic effect. Eating foods rich in sodium or salt cause frequent peeing as well- simply because the body wants to rid itself of these excess substances, as part of its defense mechanism.

Reasons you should worry about are nervousness, constant excitement for no reason, intense stress or worry that cause the blood pressure to rise and cause kidneys to process more urine. This can cause dehydration too and a stressed or worried person always drinks water to alleviate the problem of dry mouth and throat. If that's the case, you need to see a doctor.

Certain kinds of medication can also induce diuresis inadvertantly. If you are indeed on some medicines, you may wish to report the side-effects to the doctor who prescribed it.

Sexual arousal is also known for causing a frequent urge to pee, specially among women.

Before you jump to conclusions that you suffer from Urinary Tract Infection or a kidney problem- here are a couple of things you should do. Check the color of your urine. Clear or pale yellow USUALLY means that you dont have UTI or kidney problems- but these can be confirmed ONLY by a medical professional.

Also, UTI will come with several side symptoms such as severe pain or cramps while peeing, lingering pain in the urino-genital region, feeling of heaviness or swelling in the region etc.

Kidney problems are usually indicated by a puffed up face or swollen ankles.

If you are having pain it could be a UTI which will require antibiotics. The doctor should make sure you aren't having issues with your kidneys.

I have a disease called Interstitial Cystitis and had similar issues to what you describe

Sounds like you have an infection. If you drink plenty of water it will help clear it up. Average people should drink 6 to 8 glasses of water per day. If you don't notice a difference in a couple of days; call your doctor. Or you can call him sooner.
