Why is it that Americans feel their country is superior to all others?

As small children, we first learn it in school when we are young and impressionable. We are taught ALL the good things about this nation and the little bit of shameful history that isn't hidden from us is sugar coated. Most of our parents care about us enough to teach us otherwise but some it seems have old and impressionable minds.
Any idiot can look back in history and see what happens to ALL "superior nations".

Don't forget, we are a 'little bit of everyone' here in America, whether some choose to accept it or not. MOST of us are here because we love this country. I have spoken with friends who travel the world and even though other cultures and places are beautiful, they say they would NEVER want to live anywhere but here. That has got to tell you something!
