Or at least in the top ten? For those of you who think they're overrated, name a band that has more talent! You BETTER not say anybody STUPID, like Fall out Boy, or My Chemical Romance! Only REAL rock bands!

they very well may be, at least currently.....I wouldn't put them over Zep yet, but they may be the best band that is currently playing together. I love the bass lines, and the drumming is ridiculous......

TOOL best band on the planet, not even close. How about Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Doors, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, The Beatles, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, The Who, Yes, Rush, etc (not in any particular order). I can't stand grunge and would listen to Pearl Jam even Nirvana before TOOL. As far as talent goes Ritchie Blackmore, Neil Peart, Steve Harris have more talent in their pinky fingers than bands like TOOL, Korn, Limp Bizkit have their entire bodies!!!

I don't know about the GREATEST band, but definately up on my top list, sure. I'm more in it for the lyrics though, I can always find a Tool song to suit my mood at the time.

Though I do agree that TOOL is an amazing band (and my personal favorite), I think you are a bit naive about posting such a question. You will receive just as much negative feedback as positive, why get yourself all worked up over the opinions of others?
And twoskinsoneman, it's not mind-numbing, it's supposed to stimulate your mind, clearly.

Tool has been my favorite band since I saw them in a little venue in 98 I think it was. Their kickass music is invigorating and mind-numbing all at once!

Rolling Stoones

These are not all favorites of mine, but I would consider them top ten

i never really liked tool i think their overrated i think fuel is better
