I need some insight as to what these two poems are infering. Other thoughts will help with what I got out of the two poems...

Oh Sumptuous moment
Slower go
That I may gloat on thee-
'Twill never be the same to starve
Now I abundance see-

Which was to famish, then or now-
The difference of Day
Ask him unto the Gallows led-
With morning in the sky

A Route of Evanescence

A Route of Evanescence
With a revolving Wheel-
A Resonance of Emerald-
A Rush of Cochineal-
And every Blossom on the Bush
Adjusts its tumbled Head-
The mail from Tunis, probably,
An easy Mornings Ride-

They're both about the transient nature of experience and life. The second, in particular, is quite sexual in its imagery, and I'd probably relate it specifically to the transient nature of love and/or passion.
