I have found it beneficial to sometimes sit down and write out my priorities. In your case, your GCSE's may be at the top of your list, followed by spending time with your BF, then family, etc. Your goals are going to be different than anyone else, so don't let people tell you what is most important.

Once you've got your priorities in line, begin intentionally scheduling time for study, time for dates, etc. This will help you set aside time for different task that get you towards your goals.

Also, write out WHY these goals are important to you. It is vital to keep the reason for your goals in front of you to help inspire your decision making day-to-day.

Finally, RELAX!!! You're going to be fine. Keeping yourself calm is one of the MOST important ways to help yourself concentrate.

Best of luck!! : )

your problem is quite a normal one.here are steps to follow in order to concentrate.
first you have to calm ur nerves, bcos clearly you are stresssed up with so much.
girfriend take it easy, u have to take some time to relax big time.maybe go out with a nice friend or a boyfriend,or best still go to a solitary place where you can be all by yourself.it will help you resolve alot in your mind and be able to think clear.
you then have to wait for the effect of calming down.
after a while, you will begin to calm down and gradually you will get more engrossed in preparing for your exam as the date and the realitydawns on you more.
girlfriend, this is the simple principle i apply when everything seems tom be driving me crazy and i am losing focus of the real thing.!!!!

the first thing to do to concentrate is "relax". Don't forget this. Relax and then say to yourself "focus".

Do this over and over when u get this problem. It will be just fine. If u find difficulty in relaxing, go out where there is no noise, less people etc. Drink a glass of water and relax - just do nothing for a while - remember, do nothing.

Remove yourself from some of the drama, and concentrate on what's important right now for your future. You might just unconsciously be avoiding concentrating on the GCSEs because you're scared of the outcome. You know what u need to do, so just do it.

i let my mind wander and it didn't come back. Funny thing though, i'm much happier now.

All kidding aside, sometimes it helps if i say "Almighty and Merciful one i beseech Thee, relieve me of the chaos of my thinking"and i keep repeating it lke a mantra until it subsides.
Good luck and my prayers for relief are with you.

Sort through the things that there is nothing you can do about right now..and focus on the things that you can fix.
