brokenheart06: I'm really sorry about your situation. I would never blame the person who was cheated on. I guess I should have been a little more clear in my question. I meant do you blame your husband or the mistress. But I would never say that the person who had the cheating spouse was to blame.

My ex husband cheated on me and the blame (from me) was placed on both of them - since they were both willing parties. She knew he was married (and a father) - yet, she continued with the affair instead of telling him no or to get a divorce first. He took wedding vows, and according to him, pursued the relationship.

Yes! It was my wife's fault.

I don't care what the circumstances are or how infrequently they have sex. It is NOT a viable excuse for cheating on your spouse...if things are so terrible that they feel they need to cheat, then they should file for divorce. Or at least get a separation. I get so tired of people blaming their adulterous affairs on their spouse. Instead of going to see a marriage counselor and actually communicate and work through their problems as a couple, one just goes out and cheats and then blames it on their spouse. Its pathetic and the only one to blame is the CHEATER.

Man, I hope I don't sound bitter, "lol"

Both my husbands cheated on me in the past. My first husband should never have married me as he was in love with this other girl (even though she was only 13 and he was 25 at the time we married) and as soon as she got to 16 she started persuing him, they had an affair for 6 months before I found out. My second husband cheated with a girl from his work, when they went to a conference she seduced him. I blame both parties, but more so the women because why did they have to persue men they knew were married?

I had my ex husband cheat on me with a friend of ours that we went to chuch with. That was the hardest situation to be in and I was very heartbroken because I trusted them both.
But I put the blame on my ex because he was the one that broke our marriage up just for some fun. So I filed for a divorce and left with the kids. Then I went to her house with her thinking I did not know she was the one having an affair with my ex and I beat the crap out of her.

I paid them both back. Now they are both losers with no life. And I have three great kids and a fantastic husband that is right by my side helping me raise the kids.
Life turned out great....for me :-)

Katy I'll let you be judge on mine....only 3 months ago when I caught his.affairs.After 22 long years I finally asked him last year why he never really there for me,never look at me as his dream girl, just see me as his wife and become the mother of his . Sex? well what can I say? I pleased him cause I love him and his just a plain old fashion man, but never complained for 22 years till last year. But unfortunately he told me that he does and at the same time he joined a dating site,(lied about who he is), to look for a Friend like he does not have a friends. So he met a few women esp. the one that he found very special one (also married),this one is a pure christian that knows everything about god and the bible.
For 2 months they become close, they both started to have feelings for each others and sleeping start. Because of his adultery and lust,he ruined my 3 kids holiday and their lives. So who will you blame, the unconditional love that I gave him for 22 years, or him and that married woman, that even now,she still calling (which I stopped her), and told her manager at work that she was raped by him. told her husband that he forced himself to her. And still saying that she was the one that he love not me anymore??

I blame both of them. However, my husband admitted what he did and even suggested we get help. She on the other hand not only told me (after I read all their emails to each other), told me nothing was going on and I was an idiot. She still doesnt think she did anything wrong (she's married as well). So Im still angry at her, but working on healing with my husband

The ex wife cheated on me.As far as blame goes it was her fault for pursuing him when he made an advance towards her.It was also his fault for making advances to a married woman.

My bf of course. He took the initiative and nobody twisted his arm to do it. He chose to do it.
There is nobody to blame but him. Even if she laid it out for him. He chose to take it. He is to blame, as he could have turned the other way and walked.
No question about it. And if ur significant other is trying to place blame other than where it belongs (with him/her), then dont be niave and fall for it. They made the decision. They could have said no and walked away from it out of respect for u.
Good luck to u.

I think almost everyone has been cheated on or has themselves cheated. I blamed my fiance when he cheated. He is the one who steped out on our relationship and i'm sure he lied to the girl as well.
