He is totally aware of what he is doing,so I wouldnt consider him having a serious mental illness. His previous cocaine use and alcohol abuse may have caused a couple of brain cells to deteriorate. He just has no morals. And doesnt know what the average american has to face on a daily basis. He has no concern for human suffering. As for a mental evaluation, im sure he has already had one. These are confidential and could be the reason why he is so incompetent. They most likely have him on some sort of medication to relieve some of the stress. Some of the drugs they prescribe have alot of pshycological affects. But that isnt an excuse for all the things he has done to ruin the country.
I say its time for impeachment and we get our country on the right track. Give everyone the chance to Life ,Liberty , and the pursuit of happiness. Not just the priviliged and corrupt.

Yes. I think the MMPI (MInnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory test) should be a minimum, along with a drug screening. Then random MMPIs and random drug screening afterward. If at any time they show themselves to be 1) not mentally/emotionally fit or 2) doing alcohol or illegal drugs so that they are impaired, they should be relieved of duty, put through a rehab program, and retested continually.
Now you may think that is too much but I assure you, nuclear power plant workers (even kitchen staff) are put through that and more. So, I ask: are kitchen staff employees more dangerous to the health and well-being of the world and America or is the President of the United States? I would venture that the President can do lots more damage.

NO. What kind of condition would that be? I think we need a crazier more irrational president. Read the link below.
Seriously though, he doesn't have a row of red buttons, to launch nuclear war. There are countless safeguards.
I think voters should be tested though. Simple stuff like how many ammendments are there to the constitution? What are the 3 branches of government?
I also think that a proper US ID should have to be shown to vote. No matter what.

No.
We shouldn't add to the requirements to be president. (It would take a Constitutional Amendment, which isn't easy to do.)
What would be nice would be for voters to use more sense in who they vote for.
But which mental evaluation should be used?
What would the exact standards be?
There's too many sticky issues you'd never get consensus on.
And it would be open to abuse.
If we could have a well-educated, thoughtful citizenry, we wouldn't have the problems with our elected officials we currently have.

It only works if you also do it with all the voters as well, and you know what that means...I mean look at who we got with those voting now. And supposedly that was an intelligent choice.

Tempting idea. It would have weeded out a Nixon. But also a Lincoln, who was a chronic depressive.
