I am not a lawyer, so I can't say exactly what's going to happen to you legally, although I suspect a lot has to do with whether or not you're a minor (sounds like you are) and whether or not this is your first encounter with the law (sounds like it probably is).

But seriously, you need to stop being so easy to manipulate, and get some new friends.

Be a man. If your "friend" threatens to beat you up, you have lots of other options besides stealing something for him. Tell someone in an authority position (your parents, a teacher, the police, whoever), and stop hanging out with him.

If he does attack you, defend yourself, or if you think you can get away from him, flee. Afterwards, regardless of the outcome of the fight, press charges for assault.

He's not your friend, he's a bully. Bullies prey on weakness and fear. Once you show him you're not afraid, he'll probably move on to the next victim. If he doesn't, have him arrested.

Stand up for yourself and fight back (whether that be physically or by getting him in trouble). There's no shame in telling on him, or running from a fight if you're afraid he's going to hurt you. The only thing that's shameful is to let him push you around. You have to have some backbone, and be stronger (mentally) than that. Don't let *anybody* make you do something you know is wrong, ever!

Get a private lawyer.
Stop hanging around with people like your "friend", it's just not worth it.
Get some moral character, get a backbone, don't let people intimidate you into doing things you don't want to do.

It's unlikely you'll get jail time if it's a first offense. The shoplifting of $13-worth of stuff was a petty crime, but resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer are pretty serious offenses. It's worth it to get a good lawyer and try to at least avoid serious penalty. Depending on your age, previous record, your demeanor in court, and your lawyer, you might even get some of the charges dropped.

Uh, that wasn't a friend. That's what one would call an enemy. Never have anything to do with that person again.

You don't give your age.

If this is your first offense, and you throw yourself on the mercy of the court, there's a chance that you won't have to go to jail.

You have the right to free representation by an attorney.

Get one; they'll advise you.

Are your parents involved? If not, let them know immediately. It would be a good idea if you had them consult an attorney for you. If you don't have any previous record, try to get an "Adjudication in Contemplation of Dismissal, or ACD. It's often used in first offender cases where there is no previous criminal record.

Did you read your own first sentence little one? "My friend threatened to fight me" -- one he is obviously not a friend, and two you could have gone to the manager, your parents, the nearest adult and told them you felt threatened - it's not excuse for stealing.

Do not take your whiney little excuses into the courtroom with you -- judges find the blame game unacceptable.
