It's very important for pregnant women to get a well-balanced diet while pregnant. Go back and take a look at the food pyramid, and let it be your guide. You want to make sure you are getting all the nutrients you and your baby both need. You should also take prenatal vitamins. There are also some foods you should be avoiding such as fish high in mercury (specifically, salmon) as well as raw meat/seafood and unpasteurized cheeses. I notice you said you drink a large iced tea with breakfast. That is probably fine, but you do want to limit your caffeine intake as well, since caffeine in high doses correlates with birth defects. If you have any more questions, ask your ob/ email me at mama2kaydence@yahoo.com....I was very strict with my det during my pregnancy. Best of luck!

You should really try to mix it up a little. One morning have a bowl of healthy cereal or a piece of fruit with water or juice to drink. For lunch soup is fine. Dinner try to have meat fruit veggies. Like I make steak, corn, potatoes with apple slices for a snack. Don't forget you also need dairy.
