Take a 100mg of B6 vitamin with your lunch. That gives me the extra boost I need. I work full time and I am 28 weeks, I have been exhausted the entire pregnancy really bad. So maybe that will help you. Also eat a good protein and carb breakfast, and then a midmoring snack of a simple carb ( like a peice of fruit) Then for lunch eat something with lots of protein in it. Caffeine isn't great to consume, but a little bit each day wont be too bad. Like one soda a day is alright. That is what my doctor said. Also if you have a break in the afternoon, go for a short walk. That usually gives me energy in the afternoons. And get as much sleep as you can the night before. Good Luck!

If you are already use to consuming a lot of caffeine then not drinking any is going to make you even more tired. This will subside in about a week though. The first trimester is the most tiring, in the second you feel more normal, and in the third you will have a lot of aches and pains and tiredness.
To combat this, honestly drinking a ton of water helps. It is a natural way to gain energy. Also, eat small meals throughout the day and carry snack this will help keep your energy up. Finally, exercises, there is yoga for pregnant woman, walking or other light excercise that your doctor can approve that help boost energy.
Congrats on the baby and hang in there. It can be trying at times, but it is worth it.
I see a lot of ladies suggesting tea, just becareful because many are not good for us pregnant ladies. I think Ginsing is bad because of a certain natural chemical found it. Do your research first.

How about some all natural herbs etc. Ginko Biloba and Ginseng.
You could always ask your doctor on that and see if it's a better alternative.
I also find when I do some cardio, even just some brisk walking like for 30 minutes to burn some calories will get your heart pumping and you'll feel better and more energized. It's always best to do so in the morning too, so to get your metabolism up and running for the day.
Also, you'll want to be careful of any soda's since they can deplete the calcium from your bones and make them more brittle. What you need right now to stay away from soda's/pop so that it isn't a toxic addition to your body right now. Stay with natural things to drink and eat and you'll be better off.

We all feel like this the first few weeks of pregnancy and it sucks when you have so much to do and little time to do it! This is going to sound weird but exercise is one good way, but when you start feeling like you are doing too much take maybe a 15-20 minute break or nap. Also keep your diet healthy. That is hard for me to say because I love soda. The fatigue should pass in a few weeks but be prepared in the last weeks of pregnancy to be tired all over again! Good Luck

When you are an expecting mother, its time to stop consuming bottled beverages & caffeine based drinks. Drink fluids/juices that are freshly made. Though its not so easy to stop at once the sodas & coffee, it can be reduced in a time frame, which you can fix on your won.
Figs are a good source of potassium, a mineral that helps to control blood pressure. Since many people not only do not eat enough fruits and vegetables, but do consume high amounts of sodium as salt is frequently added to processed foods, they may be deficient in potassium. Low intake of potassium-rich foods, especially when coupled with a high intake of sodium, can lead to hypertension.
Figs are a fruit source of calcium (79 milligrams in an 8 oz-wt serving), a mineral that has many functions including promoting bone density.(very important for the expecting mother and child)
Ripe figs should be kept in the refrigerator where they will stay fresh for about two days. Since they have a delicate nature and can easily bruise, you should store them either arranged on a paper towel-lined plate or shallow container. They should be covered or wrapped in order to ensure that they do not dry out, get crushed or pick up odors from neighboring foods. I Dried figs will stay fresh for several months and can either be kept in a cool, dark place or stored in the refrigerator.

I read a study that apples eaten in the morning are more effective at raising energy levels and keeping them up throughout the day even more than caffeine.
I ate apples continually through my first trimester. To be frank, the exhaustion continued on for the three and a half months, but the natural sugars did give me more pep than going without.

You should be feeling better soon....but for sure quit the caffeine....
I'm 7 and a half months, & whenever I have anything with caffeine in it, it nearly kills me (my heart goes a million miles an hour) & I feel like I'm gonna pass out....
Really sucks because I am a coffee lover....
So yeah, better to quit now...

It'll get better! A nice cup of tea (non caffeinated!) or eat an apple. A nice walk helps too. Good luck!

Anyone working those hours will suffer from extreme fatigued. If you are pregnant that adds to it.
You should not work long hours like that unless you really have to.
If you have too work long hours like that .............. take extra time out of your day for rest.
Eat foods that give you instant electrolytes and that will also keep your oxygen flowing.
