it isnt your fault. Your mom does love you even though at times it seems as though she doesnt. I have gone through the hurting myself stages in my life and i was in a hospital for a few weeks too. You need to be able to have someone outside of everything to vent to and get extra opinion. I would love to talk to you anytime you need it. i love listening and helping when i can. Email me any time. Createdbydefault@yahoo.com take care and my thoughts are with you....be strong.

Don't listen to them. I'm sorry you've been depressed. =( That's not fun. Things will get better though. They always do. You just have to pull through. You're doing the right thing by asking for help. You should talk to your guidance counselor at school or talk to an adult if you can. Always try to look on the bright side of things...no matter how hard it seems. Someday you're life will be everything you've dreamed! Don't be sad. And don't worry about your friend. She knows it was an accident and you know it was an accident...so why does anyone else's opinion matter?? Good luck getting some help. Take care of yourself. Sometimes you are the only one you've got!!

I know it's hard to get through, I had the same problem and my friend is going through it right now...your mom will always love you no matter what and it doesn't matter what other people think, it's what you and your friend know and I am sure that she doesn't blame you...and as for the cutting, you don't have to hurt yourself to make everything disapear, what you need is a really good friend, someone to talk to and who will always help you through anything, someone to encourage you and tell you the truth...find a friend like that and you will stop cutting because with a loving family and friends no one wants to die or cut...I wish I could do more to help but I am just an observer, I hope that you get better though and remember, when itseems that no one cares anymore...remember that I care and so many other people...

My dear, your mother loves you, never doubt that. She is human and she get scared, confused and frustrated just like the rest of us. She just doesn't know what to do. She probably feels that everything going on with you is her fault. Now, cutting is often used as a release. You probably feel like no one loves or even likes you, doesn't understand you and you don't know. The first thing is that you need someone to talk to. Yes, I mean a doctor or therapist. Don't be ashamed or embarrassed to do it, your sanity and life is on the line. Believe it or not, it could be a medical condition. I went through the same thing with my son. We found out that he was bi-polar and he spent about 2 weeks in the hospital getting treatment. As long as he keeps up with his medication, he's great. He will be able to ween himself off of it in a few years, and now he's about to start college. I know that this is a sensitive subject, and your mom might not want to hear it, but if you are COMPLETELY honest with your mom, she will hear you. Just speak softly, slowly and from the heart. Let me know how it goes.

Good luck little lady!

Sounds like you have more going on than just a friends knee. If you are cutting, you need to work on your self esteem and coping skills. I think you need professional help over the long term not just answers from random people. Almost without exception, people who cut feel guilty about something. Most likely abuse perpetrated on them by someone they trusted. Children tend to think everything is their fault and cutters usually don't progress past that stage until they get help. Get help. Get help. Get help. If you are angry about something, you need to find other ways of dealing than self-mutilation.

Are you cutting your wrist or cutting class?

If it's the former...that's just silly. First of all, you don't want to die, because nothing is serious enough to kill yourself over. You can always just move to Mexico and start a new life in your tropical paradise. There's always alternatives (many of which are really cool).

If it's the latter...don't cut class....a lot. It's OK every once in a while. But too much is irresponsible.

If you are cutting you need to talk to a responsible adult right away this is a serious condition that can esculate to very serious proportions. Get with your mother, or some adult that you trust and give them all the details of your cutting. Do not delay do it right away. Nobody on here can fix your problem you need local help and you need it right away.

go see your guidance counselor...they are there to help you through rough spots. she will counsel you and you can ask her not to say anything to your parents and they will respect that...you can even have her sign a promissory note that she will keep your conversations private.

you need help from a counselor. if you can't talk to a counselor find an adult you can trust

Try not picking up anything sharp. As long as your friend doesn't blame you for her accident then your okay. How do you know your mom doesn't love you? Has she told you so? Remember, there is always someone out there worse off than you..........they are dead.
