A save doesn't mean an install, as in software install. Saving something usually means that it's a file, not a program which will install items to make the (installed) program work with your operating system.

Saving files usually Involves one file and doesn't really matter where it goes and it will still work. Where as installing is installing several files in a certain order. For instance if you go to your program files directory and look at some of the program files, you'll see that the installer has put files in a "tree" branch of files. This is nessasiry for programs or else it would just be a big mess of files.

When a file is saved, it means the current state at time of the save is preserved. When a program is installed, it usually makes changes to the registry, creates a folder for itsself, add's its icon, and makes itsself appear in menu's.

An example of saving: After you type something up in Notepad and click "Save" that file is saved to your hard drive. That is to say, all the information in it before you save is preserved. Installing something makes lots of changes to the system (as described above) thats the difference between installing something and saving something.

When you save a file, you are placing one file on you hard drive. Nothing else is altered.

When you install a program, it usually create a directory to hold the program, placing dozens of files on your computer, add information to the registry, add an icon to the desktop, set up configurations for the program to work, add Start Menu items, and adjust dll and other system files as needed. And then runs the program for you when done.

ok, when you download or save a file, it is saved on your hard disk, installation will extract the files from the file that you downloaded or saved, loading is just gathering all the files and stuff needed to get the the program going. Good Luck

To save is to keep a file in somewhere to load later.
To load is to put a file into a memory to be read.
To install is to set up, means to prepare for running. (Installing process includes creating registry keys in Registry database and other file copy processes.)

sparkling setting up: while any software, report or OS is put in after finished removal of the previous version, or is being put in for the 1st time- then a sparkling setting up occurs. restoration setting up: while a software, report or OS is checked for blunders and lacking records and registry entries and the blunders are rectified by using setting up those areas- then its a restoration setting up.
