I have heard that if the water gets pushed up into the body, it can be bad but what are the chances of that actually happening? And what exactly happens if the water gets up in there?

what you heard is right, water is forced into the vagina via thrusting. this can cause infection. try sex in running water instead like in the shower or under a waterfall. infections are really no fun so why risk it? keep in mind you're more at risk in a hottub or a natural water reserve (ocean, lake, river, pond) than in a bathtub or swimming pool.

Having sex in a bathtub or shower is SAFE due to it being CLEAN water. So, go for it!

However, if you have sex in a lake or pool you can get an infection from the contaminated water.

The water usually gets pushed in during the initial penetration. Which is usually a small amount. When your done having sex and he pulls out the water will expel from the vaginal cavity.

The biggest problem with having sex in the water is drowning.
Its not a joke ... people get distracted and don't always recognize
that the other person's twitching is not ectasy, but death throes.

That being said, no, the uterus and friends are not exactly a sterile
environment. Yes, I suppose if you were swimming in raw sewage,
it might be an issue - but there are other orifices in your body that would
be MORE of an issue.

Expect, however, that your body's natural lubrications will be washed
away. This may make it more difficult for both of you to ... uh ...
complete the deal.

Yeah it can, it depends on the water and where ur doin it. If the water is dirty it can give u an ifection. And the same with chlorine in the pool. Some wome are a little more sensitive to certain things.

Its not the worry of the water getting trapped , because it won't. Its what is in the water that you should worry about. There are all kinds of bacteria in the ocean and pools and tubs. Generally, you should be fine but just remember to keep good hygiene.

That is total nonsense - but water tends to wash away the natural lubrications, so vigorous underwater sex is usually dissappointing. Keep it slow with minimal movement and all will be good with the world.

In a way yes and no, all it does is makes the delivery of a baby allot more painfull than it would usually be so I wouldn't do it IF I WERE YOU.
